Job Description

Our client is a mid-sized, successful, family-owned CPG company. They seek an experienced business professional who, under the direction of the President, will develop and execute strategic initiatives and projects to drive the achievement of the company’s strategic growth goals. This will include strategic preparation for key meetings and forums, ensuring there are plans and progress against key initiatives, priorities and KPIs, as well as oversee ways of working and operating norms for how work is done. The role requires strong financial and business acumen as well as a collaborative mindset and workstyle.


This position is on site at their office in Larkspur CA and it's estimated there will be up to 20 - 25% domestic travel.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain an organized system to track progress, monitor, communicate, prioritize project timelines, scope, and deliverables, flag risks, and remove barriers.
  • Participate in the development of internal and external communications including documents and presentations for a variety of stake holder constituencies.
  • Manage from inception to implementation multiple projects and competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Serve as an in-house partner to the President for a multi-discipline spectrum of special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate the successful and timely execution of cross-functional, company-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the President to drive and execute organizational priorities.


Qualifications:

  • Expertise in business operations, process design, financial analytics and project management.
  • Prior experience in a similar project management role supporting senior management.
  • Experience in the CPG industry preferred.
  • Self-directed in planning and implementation.
  • Experience in a small to mid-sized business strongly preferred. Family owned business experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA strongly preferred.
  • Must have high integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial or start-up like environment is required.
  • Exceptional EQ.
  • Strong ability to adapt and problem solve quickly.
  • A “get-it done” entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • 6+ years in project management and strategy execution experience.


Compensation and Benefits

  • $150,000 - $160,000, DOE plus bonus
