Job Description
Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager of Strategic Initiatives to join our Member & Provider Life team.

About The Role
The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will work cross functionally with internal and external Oscar team members and representing the needs and interests of department in company wide initiatives. You will require driving project coordination and management from creation to completion, solving problems and escalating issues, where appropriate and an ability to work across different initiatives and stakeholders at the same time.
You will report to the Associate Director, Strategy. This is a hybrid role. You will work part of the time in the Los Angeles office and part of the time work-from-home/remote.
The base pay for this role is: $$108,000 - $141,750 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
Responsibilities
  • Implement strategic initiatives to meet departmental objectives and goals
  • Assists in strategy development and formulation for assigned business units
  • Development and growth of direct reports, ensuring that colleagues are supported in professional development
  • Provide leverage to departmental leadership by taking on mission critical ad-hoc assignments and projects; Serves as departmental advocate
  • Own the end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations/projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement/management, edge case mitigation, and on-time completion
  • Manage relationships cross-functionally to drive multi department collaboration
  • All other duties as assignedes))
  • Help with vitals planning process for department including reporting on progress, ensuring collaboration identifying and mitigating areas of risk and developing objectives and key results.
  • Responsible for proactive management of assigned business performance metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies
  • Collaboratively work with all relevant partner groups to drive proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation initiatives
  • Partner with Product Management team to support design and build for system changes
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in delivering projects / programs independently and within a team environment
  • 5+ years of experience in program management
  • 4+ years of leadership experience
  • Successfully executed enterprise-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support)
  • 1+ year of experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in programs
Bonus points
  • Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)
  • PMP Certifications or Program Management Certifications
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certifications
  • Master's Degree

Pay Transparency
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
