Job Summary: Key Job Responsibilities
The Manager, Performance Improvement Special Projects contributes to the planning, design, development and
implementation of the Quality Strategy for an identified division
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple priorities and/or projects and tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic, growing and complex environment and

  • Provides guidance and support to the performance improvement staff in establishing measurement systems, data
measurement plans and dashboards.
  • Collaborates with Leadership (i.e. Executive, Performance Improvement) to creates programmatic infrastructure for staff
development according to the outlined competencies and identifies professional development opportunities.
  • Encourages and engages collaborative teamwork and problem solving. Effectively communicates, manages, and resolves
issues that are presented through the chain of command.
  • Provides oversight, data and project management infrastructure, and counsel to executive leadership in decision-making
for the development and implementation of key Quality, Safety, and Efficiency priorities of the Medical Center.
  • Develops and implements an annual quality, safety, and efficiency goal planning process for all clinical departments.
  • Maintains working knowledge of performance improvement-related accreditation requirements and regulatory conditions
of participation. In conjunction with CMS CoP and QAPI, TJC and NCQA requirements, participates in establishing,
maintaining and assuring the quality of data and information necessary for performance improvement processes.
  • Executes Special Projects as assigned

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Quality, Business Administration, Clinical Field or similarly applicable degree.
Master's Degree Quality, Business Administration, Clinical Field or similarly applicable degree

Licenses:

No license or certification required

Experience:

5 years Progressive Operational Leadership or Consultative experience in either a hospital or Health System setting.
1 year Management experience of individual contributors and/or supervisors.

Physical Demands:

Sit at a desk or table with some walking, standing, bending, stooping, or carrying of light objects.
Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.

Use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects and/or operate equipment.
