Position Title: Manager Security (FLL)

Position Summary

The Manager Security oversees and monitors the security activities to ensure that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is conforming to security operations at each JetBlue station of operation. The Manager monitors the conduct of all Company security processes and procedures being carried out in FLL.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the Director in the accomplishment of additional security audit tasks as may be assigned
• Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain effective working relations with external stakeholders including the TSA and local law enforcement authorities in relation to any security related issues at the FLL station
• Prepare and maintain updated emergency security plans and contingency plans for all JetBlue properties
• Collaborate with all JetBlue internal stakeholders, ensuring that any security related issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner
• Ensure adherence to all Safety and Security regulations
• Report all facts and data relevant to security in a concise and accurate fashion to management in written and verbal form
• Identify security vulnerabilities/issues in FLL and prepare redress reports

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Experience in staffing and scheduling, incident response, and creating reports
• Five (5) years of supervisory experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Five (5) years of experience in law enforcement or private security sector
• Available for overnight travel (10%)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Exceptional project management skills
• Ability to interface with all JetBlue operational components
• Proficient with web based integrated secondary programs such as Perspective, CCure, Indigo, Avigilon and Sabre
• Demonstrate competencies in leadership – mentoring and staff development
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Identify and recall JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy and behavioral standards
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
• Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
• Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System
• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
• Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
• Regular attendance and punctuality
