Job Description

The Payroll Business Process Manager (BPM) provides support to the Time and Payroll organization (both domestic and international) by driving SAP Time and Pay system enhancements and overall process efficiencies. Coordinate business requirements with multiple Business Unit Partners and act as a liaison with Enterprise Technology/HCL support for enhancements, master data updates, and OSS notes. Ensure testing of time and payroll system changes, as well as, support the overall sustainment functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and clear payroll processing & testing documentation for internal use and publication to external teams as needed
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as implementation of Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, BSI and Payroll year end activities.
  • Manage a team of professionals to coordinate business requirements and act as a liaison with Enterprise technology support for enhancements, master data updates and OSS notes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Business Unit customers and Enterprise resources as well as other Financial and HR disciplines
  • Strategically manage global projects and provide excellent leadership on Time and Payroll business processes and transactions
  • Manage the business requirements gathering for Enterprise SAP Time and Payroll enhancements
  • Creatively Troubleshoot and manage complex interfaces to downstream systems such as My Time, Kronos, Fidelity, and other benefits related interfaces.
  • Perform SAP Payroll Development activities in support of the business request to improve or add functionality to the existing SAP HCM landscape
  • Provide training on Time and Payroll system functionality, changes, and updates
  • Manage successful updates to SAP system configuration, Master Data, and OSS notes

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage customers, employee and departmental goals to drive success.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive enthusiasm and to inspire a commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated strong negotiating, influencing, organizational, planning and partnership skills.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and controls impacting business areas (SarbanesOxley, Safe Harbor, etc.)
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, team development and succession planning.
  • Minimum five years of Time or Payroll leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CPP or MB
  • Canadian Payroll experience as well as APAC, EMEA and LATAM
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of The. Walt Disney Co. policies and procedures
  • Technical knowledge of SAP Time and Payroll modules
