Position Overview
We are looking for a thoughtful, analytical Marketing Planner to help with the development of strategies and plans within our key international markets. This is a senior position that will lead the learning agenda and integration of insights throughout GTM process, impacting both our quarterly and annual planning cycles. The individual will be driven and motivated by helping better understand the customer and markets while identifying and unlocking new sources of growth for Bose.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive overall learning plan with internal Consumer Insights and Analytics teams.
- Empower strategists with the data and insights required to deliver winning strategies and briefs.
- Provide real-time identification of opportunistic revenue moments and support business case development.
- Identify pain points & opportunities related to audiences, categories, and markets.
- Co-own and author monthly marketing reporting focused on quarterly and annual OKRs.
- Provide robust measurement frameworks, KPIs and target setting aligned to quarterly + annual strategies and plans.
- Track the progress of key marketing campaigns and provide optimization recommendations and future considerations to strategists and activation leads.
- Partner with key business functions to determine financial viability of strategic recommendations.
- Embed the latest market, business, consumer, and cultural insights in to the quarterly and annual planning processes.
- Drive bottoms-up strategy development approach identifying potential size of prize and how to win.
- Influence company forecasts via quarterly cycle planning process in collaboration with insights and analytics team.
- Own recommendations on product tiering, marketing spending and country prioritization as part of annual planning process.
- Partner closely with Integrated Marketing strategists to brief internal and external teams connected to major campaigns and activations.
Functional/technical proficiencies:
- Able to translate direction/strategy into cohesive and telling story.
- Strategy development – experience defining, planning, and shaping strategies and initiatives.
- Analytical mind and attention to detail
- 7+ years of proven experience in a similar marketing role. Preferable in global positions.
- Ability to work with highly sophisticated projects and in a distributed team set-up.
- Ability to set direction, build recommendations and drive them through the organization.
- Extensive knowledge of market research
