Reporting to the Director of Global Hotel Commercial this is a highly visible & integral role within GSP, which generates revenue through negotiating hotel supplier agreements which deliver value to the customer and revenue to GBT. This is a dynamic end-to-end supplier management role focused on driving results through successful supplier negotiations, contract execution, business development and other key supplier partnership initiatives. In addition, this role will coach and handle the NA based Global hotel SMP’s.
The role
  • Mentor and develop staff, providing frequent feedback and direction, ensuring they are meeting the expectations of their roles.
  • Effective Supplier Negotiations: negotiate profitable supplier commercial agreements on behalf of the GBT network, bringing value to the customer, supplier, and GBT
  • Drive Increased Revenue: identify, sell, and drive execution of additional supplier revenue opportunities
  • Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally with Traveler Care, Client Management, Sales, Revenue Management, M&E, Global Business Consulting, and other Global Supplier Partnership teams in order to align strategies, drive engagement, and optimize results.
  • Track / report portfolio performance and forecast future revenue, in liaison with the Global Revenue Management (GRM) Team
  • Lead supplier relationships: develop and cultivate supplier relationships outside of traditional sales channels
  • Lead delivery of the supplier value proposition and develop strategies to ensure business development commitments are implemented
Competencies
  • Fluency in English (written and oral) compulsory, additional languages are an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including interest in formal presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Consultative selling & negotiation skills with proven track record in driving successful negotiations
  • Proven track record to manage multiple projects and get results on time and on plan, under a remote management and able to work with a great degree of autonomy
  • Strong analytical attitude with broad commercial acumen and thought leadership
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment in US
  • Intuitive understanding of technology – GDS, Point of Sale tools, online booking tools
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills and attention to detail
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in coaching and developing staff
  • Outcome oriented with proven track record in driving best in class results
  • A solid understanding and knowledge of the hotel and/or travel supplier industry

Location
United States - Virtual Location

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
