Aloha! Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i is seeking an Overnight Manager

JOIN OUR 'OHANA

The Four Seasons Beach Resort Lanai is looking for an Overnight Manager.

The Overnight Manager is responsible for supervising the staff of the entire hotel during the overnight shift .

Job Responsibilities:

  • Frequently tours the hotel and monitors the activities of all other departments. Monitors their activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met.
  • Supervises the staff of the entire hotel during the overnight shift. Works closely with the staff from all departments to assure that standards are being met. Directly supervise the Front Desk during the overnight shift Responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.
  • Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest s will be in person and by phone.
  • Prepares Morning Briefing packages consist of Daily Operation Report, Glitch Report, Golden Briefing View highlighting VIP/Elite Guest activities, Arrivals and Departure. Prepare detailed information on issues occurred during own shift and from previous MOD for proper hand over to the next MOD.
  • Checks guest in and out in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Assures that guest is assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room. Issues correct keys to the guest. Checks out guest at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest. Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.
  • Take prompt action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and wellbeing of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • To help drive upsell program have a strategy to achieve it · Contribute in maintain and control expenses t o ensure actual charge occurred/ will occur, such as cancellation charge, no show, shipping charge etc. to be posted after night audit to prevent from being forgotten.
  • Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit problems with the Director of Front Office and/or Credit Manager. Reviews all paid-outs, rebates, Petty Cash disbursements and Direct Billings. Checks cashiers’ work at the end of their shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements.
  • Reviews late arrivals, next day early arrivals and departures to plan for the next day’s activities. Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
  • Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact .
  • Walks public and back of house areas to ensure cleanliness / condition is up to Four Seasons standards as well as ensure action is taken when it is not with Housekeeping / Engineering department.
  • Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff. Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Communications Operator.
  • Maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel. Makes change, cashes checks, exchanges foreign currency. Reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Front Office/Assistant Director of Rooms/ Director of Rooms .
