Job Title: UP EHS Engineer/Manager

Division: Consumer Products Division

Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas (Manufacturing)

Reports To: Director – Unit of Production

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate programs, achieve results aligned with plant-wide shared objectives, and drive UPs to an interdependent culture as it relates to Safety, Health, & Environmental objectives.
  • Participates in EHS Committee, Energy Management Team, and Ergonomics Team
  • Drives safety, health, and environmental improvement opportunities (SIOs and EIOs)
  • Drives EHS actions, i.e. PDCAs, to prevent accidents, increase employee engagement, and eliminate LIFE risks
  • Leads EHS capital projects in the department
  • Drives health and wellness initiatives
  • Leads weekly SHEQ meeting
  • Collaborating with EHS, Quality and UPs to implement best practices, cross-departmental training, and SHEQ focuses
  • Ensures new installations meet EHS standards and requirements
  • Facilitates RCA and incident investigations
  • Conducts ergonomics assessments for new personnel and on an as needed basis
  • Facilitates weekly SHEQ training
  • Manages CAPA and verification of effectiveness
  • Supports energy conservation
  • Assists in reducing line/skid waste by overseeing no-go process, implementing best practices and supporting WOW ideas
  • Walkthroughs to identify EHS risks and opportunities to ensure compliance

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industry
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills oral and written communication skills
  • Strong PC Skills utilizing Excel, Power BI, Forms, PowerPoint, and related MS Office Software
  • Bachelor of Science degree (safety, environmental, or engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
  • CSP or CHMM certification is desired or must be acquired within 2 years
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
  • Must be able to interact effectively – both internally and externally
  • Must be willing to travel overnight.
  • Work flexible hours/shifts, as needed

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage in complex situation often needing to deliver innovative results
