Fortune 1000 global industry leading manufacturer of ETO products seeking to add accomplished Corporate EHS leader to their safety focused team of professionals. This role serves as a global director and is highly involved in strategy implementation and driving continuous improvement in EHS practices. This is a remote opportunity with 50% expected travel time.
Job Responsibilities:
· Reports into the VP of EHS, with Regional Managers as Direct Reports.
· Up to 50% travel required (internationally/domestically).
· Partners with regional safety managers to ensure consistent deployment of EHS standards.
· Support development, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts in order to accomplishment EHS strategic initiatives.
· Leads the development and maintenance of global health and safety standards.
· Directs the implementation, update, and maintenance of safety information.
· Develops and maintains risk assessment tools.
· Demonstrated ability to prioritize a large number of projects and track projects through completion
· Thorough knowledge of occupational safety and fire protection technologies and processes
· Recognize and be able to integrate Lean concepts into EHS strategies.
· Develops emergency management and business continuity programs
· Leads the serious post incident review and investigations - partners with the regional safety managers to ensure that corrective and preventive actions are deployed across the organization.
· Provides training and mentoring to regional and site safety resources.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant work experience
· Minimum of 8 years of increasing health and safety responsibility with an emphasis on implementation and maintenance of environmental, health and safety programs, fire prevention, and risk management.
· Prior experience utilizing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide safety information system/database
· Experience with OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) or ISO 45001, 14001
· Professional certifications preferred such as CSP, CHMM, etc.
