The Opportunity
The Analyst role will be responsible for the execution and analysis of database marketing campaigns for Ally’s credit card product. As an integral part of the database marketing team, this person will interact with business partners on the marketing team and line of business to identify targeted audiences, write code in SAS to execute marketing campaigns, and analyze campaign performance findings to identify opportunities for enhancements and better targeting.
This role is located at the Ally office in Charlotte - we offer a Hybrid schedule, 3 days in office and 2 from home
The Work Itself
  • Oversee automated campaigns to ensure they’re running on time and accurately
  • Present campaign results to business and/or marketing partners
  • Participate in the upfront strategic planning process of developing targeted campaigns, including sizing and scenario testing.
  • Write SAS code to execute targeted email/direct mail campaigns based on detailed customer characteristics, legal regulations, statistical models, and client requests
  • Produce ad-hoc analyses, reports, and data files around customer profiles, campaign results, and other marketing and credit card related data
  • Translate business and marketing partner requirements into technical specifications
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, including statistical significance testing and business case analysis
The Skills You Bring
  • Ability to ask the right questions to help define technical requirements
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities and changing requirements
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
  • Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience in campaign execution and analysis, preferably in financial services; credit card experience is a plus (2 years experience preferred)
  • Experience with developing dashboards in PowerBI or Tableau
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability work independently
  • Strong technical abilities leveraging relational databases via programs such as SAS and SQL; SAS experience is strongly preferred
