Sims Bros. Recycling is looking for a full-time Maintenance welder at our Marion, Ohio plant location.

About The Position

• Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
• Monday - Friday Work Week
• Weekends Off
• On occasion able to work overtime as needed
• Location: Marion, OH
• $17.50 Per Hour

Responsibilities

• Willingness to participate in educational opportunities, reading technical and regulation publications.
• Remove rough spots, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers
• Diagnose and trouble shoot issues while communicating with supervisor and teammates.
• Complete and turn in inspections and work orders for all equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
• All repairs are expected to be completed following Sims Brothers regulations.
• Use effective interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Clamp, hold, tack weld, heat-bend, grind

Requirements

• Must be able to lift/move up to 75 Lbs.
• Valid driver's license
• High school or post-secondary training in welding/cutting/brazing (certification preferred) 6 months-1 yr. experience but not required
• Good communication skills and reliable attendance is expected.
• 1 Year of Experience Preferred
• Ability to work in all weather conditions; indoors and outdoors.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• On occasion able to work overtime as needed.
• Current Medical Card
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma (GED equivalent); or the equivalent education and experience
