Welder Mechanic Jobs

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Install, maintain, modify and repair equipment such as generators, compressors, pump, bailers, pipelines, conveyance systems and utility equipment

Perform daily inspections at lift stations and manholes

Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies

Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required

Valid Florida class D driver’s license

Possess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge, and skills.

Experienced with operating various manlifts with heights of up to 80’.

Strong organizational skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing, and record-keeping.

Maximizing the performance of equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis.

Performs fabrication and repairs to processing equipment, mobile crushing equipment, and asphalt plant equipment.

Capable of following required safety procedures including OSHA standards.

High school or post-secondary training in welding/cutting/brazing (certification preferred) 6 months-1 yr. experience but not required

High School Diploma (GED equivalent); or the equivalent education and experience

1 Year of Experience Preferred

TPM maintenance knowledge and abilities preferred

At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience

Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment

5+ years of mechanical/electrical experience highly preferred

Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience preferred

Programmable Logic Control (PLC) knowledge highly preferred

Expected to train on Exchanger craft, including knowledge of exchanger types, exchanger-specific tooling, and procedures.

Have completion of a recognized Pipefitter or Boilermaker apprenticeship program or two years of verifiable journeyman level pipefitter/boilermaker work experience required.

Must be knowledgeable on the use of tools/equipment of the trade and general rigging methods.

Must qualify to similar MPC Welding Procedures per the requirements of ASME Section IX.

Work experience in a refining, petrochemical, or other related industry preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SAP preferred.

Education and/or Experience Equivalent to:

Creates specific weldment set-ups and fixtures to meet geometric requirements

Four (4) years of recent full-time position related experience in welding and metal fabrication

Experience in the use of electrical tools, equipment, and the measurements necessary to meet established standards
