JOB OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all maintenance functions necessary to ensure efficient plant operations, in a state-of-the-art high speed beverage packaging Facility, in Santa Clarita, California. This includes high speed can lines and filling equipment, utility services, steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems and compressed air systems. Engaging in the typical responsibilities of a supervisor requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, while coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising a team of highly skilled Maintenance technicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems and utilities.
- Flex resources where needed, ensure the team is getting proper breaks, ensure all resources are staying busy and have an assignment.
- Work closely with the CMMS coordinator to ensure the PM program is accurate, with weekly reporting of PM completion percentage.
- Highlight capability gaps and work with management to develop training plans.
- Escalate safety issues, and work with management to mitigate safety risks.
- Monitor line performance for all lines and step in when underperforming to make sure team is addressing issues and have the necessary maintenance resources to meet performance goals.
- Report out any maintenance related issues on daily shift report.
- Maintain, prioritize, and schedule technician assignments and project work.
- Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain production systems and utilities.
- Utilize the CMMS to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Prioritize safety while maintaining Lockout Tagout, Hot Work permitting, line breaking and other safety programs.
- Required to coach, lead and engage a team of high-level maintenance technicians.
- Implement corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness.
- Manage resources on shift, while understanding breaks and lunch schedule. Managing callouts and OT needs.
- Works closely with the team to optimize changeovers overseeing the completion of changeover checklist.
- Incident Reports – and supporting documentation with issues requiring discipline.
- Collaborate with plant management to utilize equipment to improve employee safety, production quality, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, electrical and pneumatic drawings, safety rules, operations manuals.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and possess high-level Electrical control troubleshooting skills, with good knowledge of plumbing, pneumatics, and facilities maintenance.
- Candidates should have ~10 years food and beverage manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-speed packaging environment.
- Electrical, mechanical, chemical, or manufacturing degree a +.
