Position Summary

Listed work hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining Bluefors' equipment and performing various preventative maintenance tasks. This is an entry-level position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintains all records relating to planned and completed maintenance.
• Supports Maintenance with preventative maintenance work.
• Responsible for housekeeping and safety practices as it applies to this work environment.
• Assists maintenance with A/C coil cleanings.
• Supports facilities maintenance during PTO usage.
• Assists maintenance with cooling tower cleanings.
• Monitors and records inventory used (tooling, supplies, and raw materials) and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Empties, cleans, and fills CNC coolant tanks.
• Fills liquid nitrogen transfer dewars.
• Works with production managers to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with production.
• Process cooling water filter changes
• Fills liquid nitrogen flasks.
• Supports Maintenance with project work.
• Change air filtration filters
• Cleans vacuum pump traps.
• Changes HVAC return air filters
• Changes CNC mist collector fillers, cleans old filters and reservoir tank.
• Cleans machine, tooling, and parts and performs machine maintenance as required.
• Supports Maintenance with production needs.
• Empties ice from nitrogen flasks.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 6 months of maintenance experience. Experience in manufacturing is a plus. Mechanical aptitude is highly preferred.
