The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, a Human Services Agency, is hiring a part-time, Home Delivered Meals Assistant to assist the Home Delivered Meals Coordinator with client administration and volunteer oversight.

Home Delivered Meals Assistant Responsibilities


  • Provide initial program-specific training to volunteers
  • Assist with coordination of volunteer schedules and activities
  • Schedule and ensure completion of test meals as required, ensuring the results are documented and communicated appropriately
  • Conduct client intakes and enter or update demographic information
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Record and communicate volunteer/meal cancelations
  • Complete assigned tasks necessary to ensure contract compliance


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (9:00am-1:30pm)


Work Location: The Arc Wayne, 150 Van Buren St, Newark, NY 14513


Home Delivered Meals Coordinator Qualifications


  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets the Agency Driver standards (Class D).
