Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday
Work Location: The Workplace at UAB Hospital-Highlands
Under the direction of a clinic nurse, to provide direct and indirect patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. To practice within the scope of the LPN licensure.

Located near the UAB Medicine campus, UAB Hospital-Highlands combines the feel of a community hospital – including small size, free parking, and neighborhood location – with the same expertise and technology available at our flagship facility. Providing both routine and acute care, UAB Hospital-Highlands offers a wide range of inpatient and specialty clinic services, including same-day surgery, geriatric care, pain management, an Infectious Diseases Clinic, and a Sleep/Wake Disorders Center. In addition, the UAB Hospital-Highlands Emergency Department is recognized as a Level 1 Geriatric Emergency Department, making it the only accredited geriatric ED in Alabama, the first in the southeast, and only the 17th in the world.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
