The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit is looking for a Wound Care Licensed Practical Nurse to join our highly supportive and collaborative team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support patients in the outpatient setting at this location. You will initiate actions to improve practice, patient care and unit processes to ensure our vision, “The best place to get care. The best place to give care.” is maintained.
The Shift:
This is Monday through Friday day shift position. No Holidays or Weekends
The Work:
- Assist with departmental drills and surveys
- Serve as a day-to-day resource to colleagues at unit and departmental levels
- Deliver Hyperbaric Therapy
- Demonstrate increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritize appropriately
- Make Recommendations
- Responsible for telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care
- Collaborate with physicians
- Perform wound care assessments and therapies
Hyperbaric experience preferred but not required.
We are looking for a licensed practical nurse who enjoys collaborating with various professionals who are excited by teaching others and can work well independently. This position will require a lot of autonomy in your day-to-day work. Strong communication and ability to educate others is required to be successful in this position.
