Legal And Compliance Intern

About the Opportunity

The MoneyLion Summer Internship program is a 10-week program that kicks off June, 2023. The program provides selected candidates the opportunity to explore what it's like to work at an organization that has crossed the threshold from a start-up to publicly traded company.

Legal and Compliance Intern will work under supervision of the legal team on a variety of legal matters which may include: reviewing contracts, organizing files, and conducting research. This role will assist the company with tasks and projects defined by various team members, such as research, reviews and working closely with members of the legal team and other teams to learn more about MoneyLion.

We're looking for someone who loves to talk about finance, loves to learn, and can work in a very fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and manage legal department files
• Perform other tasks as requested by members of the legal team
• Assist with review of product and marketing materials
• Conduct legal research and help draft legal memos
• Review and track updates to relevant laws and regulations
• Assist legal team with preparation and negotiation of contracts, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents

About You

• In-office NYC, or hybrid schedule
• Applicants must be first- or second-year law students in good standing for the degree of J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• Mastery of Google Suite products
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, research, and time management skills
• Grace under pressure and good judgment in sensitive situations
