Electrical Engineering Lecturer Faculty Position
Applications are invited for Lecturer positions in the Electrical Engineering program within the College of Engineering and Science (COES). The vision of the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. Lecturers in the COES are highly respected, integral parts of the college’s mission and structure. In addition to their central role of teaching, they populate and chair various committees, provide leadership in many courses and other areas of institutional need, and are eligible for a promotion pathway that parallels the traditional tenure track. The College seeks to attract culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber. The ideal candidate will have earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Demonstration of potential for outstanding teaching ability, written and oral communication skills, as well as a commitment to demanding high-quality student work are expected. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work collegially as well as independently, have excellent leadership and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning via a willingness to keep abreast of developments in the field of Electrical Engineering. All areas of expertise in the discipline will be considered. A teaching load of 27 semester hours per nine-month academic year is anticipated.
Louisiana Tech is designated as a national university by the 2021 U.S. News & World Report college rankings. COES currently enrolls almost 3,000 students, including over 150+ masters and 120+ doctoral students. The College recently completed a new $37M Integrated Engineering and Science Education building that provides 128,800 square feet of space to expand our focus on project-driven curricula.
