Electrical Engineering Freelancer Jobs

5 years of managerial experience directing teams involved with electrical, mechanical, power electronics, and control system design, development, and commercialization.

Use knowledge of electrical engineering and execute PLC programming fundamentals to provide support in coordination with existing Control Engineer.

Work with Project Manager and Vice-President on progress.

Manage engineering effort in support of Business Development and sales activities.

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (BSEE) in electrical engineering or equivalent experience

5-10 years’ experience in generating PLC and HMI programming and perform testing with associated hardware.

Manage substation and balance of plant electrical maintenance program, including NERC-required/NETA-recommended testing and inspections.

Review and manage as-built site documentation including electrical drawings, schematics, bill of materials, electrical studies, test reports and relay settings.

Support project and construction managers on new project commissioning and turnover for wind, solar, and storage developments.

Manage root cause analyses to identify potential future risks, and drive fleet-wide corrective action plans.

Two to four years of experience in HV/MV electrical operations, maintenance or design;

Detailed knowledge of three-phase power systems, high voltage electrical equipment & protective relaying;

Experience with cable management and wire routing a plus

2+ years hands-on experience building/wiring up various hardware

Must have experience using multi-meters

Participate in initial equipment conceptual development

Interact with various mechanical, electrical, and software engineers throughout project

Modify electrical enclosures and panels (drilling and cutting)

Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical requirements.

Use 2D and 3D drafting and modeling skills in product design and development, electrical schematics/diagrams, and specifications.

Attention to detail. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Provide technical design of electrical systems and products.

Evaluate systems’ safety, reliability, and performance.
