Position Summary

The Learning and Development Lead (L&D Lead) will organize, schedule, track, and report on developmental opportunities for our Seeker network of over 850+ independent contractors (1099) in addition to our 200+ internal employees. We are seeking an experienced L&D Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in learning content development, instructional design, and project management, specifically focusing on lesson plan development in both eLearning and physical space. In addition, expertise with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to include reporting learner data and feedback from the LMS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training department communications.
• Utilize your expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to craft engaging and effective learning and certification experiences leveraging the appropriate mix of learning mediums (e.g. ILT, eLearning, video, job aids, etc.) ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with department leads and team members in other training-related tasks as needed.
• Identify development opportunities for our Seeker network of independent contractors (1099) and internal employees; build business case and roadmaps for addressing those opportunities.
• Create and prepare course materials including tests, evaluations, handouts, and other learning materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Administer the learning management system (LMS), including adding and deleting users; provide technical support; adding, modifying, and deleting courses and curricula; and performing routine LMS updates and maintenance and staying current with updates to LMS capabilities and features.
• Manage and oversee multiple projects related to lesson plan development and learning content, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.
• Partner with our technology team to incorporate AI/AR/VR and other technological capabilities Seek Now has into the learning and developing systems.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and share feedback from both learners and facilitators.

Qualifications

• Preferred working knowledge of evolving learning technologies such as Virtual Reality as well as Artificial Intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and attention to detail
• Project management skills, including experience in managing lesson plan development projects and coordinating with subject matter experts.
• Preferred the property insurance industry
• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and content creation
• Training, learning, and development certifications a plus

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
• Must be able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines

Position Type And Hours

• Monday through Friday from 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. plus occasional weekends and evenings as needed
• Full-Time
• 10% of travel time expected for position
