Job Description
What to Expect
Quality Operations is seeking a highly motivated Team Lead that is ready to take on challenges in a fast pace environment to improve Tesla's Quality for Model 3. Seeking team building leader, self-motivation, and high-quality standards. Team Lead will work with cross functional teams and give overall support to his team of inspectors.
What You’ll Do
  • Provides first level of root cause based upon observation
  • Drive objectives and make judgement considering safety, quality and efficiency
  • Work closely with direct superior to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to meet the team objectives
  • Initiate immediate lineside sort & containment on line down situation
  • Conducts Fault Injections and Inspector Calibration
  • Drive objectives and make judgement considering safety, quality and efficiency
  • Maintain Training Certifications
  • Coordinate Inspector training to improve versatility without affecting business flow
  • Drives continuous-improvement & projects
  • Work as liaison for Quality and Cross Functional Team
  • Work closely with cross functional team such as Technicians, QE, Production Management and PC to resolve issues.
  • In the absence of direct Supervisor, will step in as acting Supervisor
  • Ensure daily audits are completed and submitted in timely manner
What You’ll Bring
2+ years’ experience in automotive diagnosis, servicing, and repair techniques of automobiles (may be substituted for experience in production at Tesla).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
  • Handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Automotive Technology or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting.
