Responsibilities:
The Laboratory Support Technician I wil work Part Time, Various Shifts and Weekends and performs blood specimen collection on adult and pediatric patients including venous, capillary, and blood culture samples.

  • The Laboratory Support Technician will follow all hospital and laboratory policies and procedure.

  • The Laboratory Support Technician answers the telephone as necessary.
  • The Laboratory Support Technician orders laboratory tests in the Laboratory Information System, processes, files requisitions, processes specimens for testing, prepares samples to be sent to reference laboratories for testing and processes test results that were referred to other reference laboratories.

Qualifications:

Education:
