Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.
Manages a geographic portfolio of the largest Field Sales corporate accounts with the highest revenue, complexity, and high-risk/reward. Responsible for responding to RFPs, negotiating complex discount agreements and managing program performance. Primary focus is to increase revenue, share and maximize program profitability through analysis, contract development and account management. Demonstrates exceptional understanding of the customer’s travel patterns, key influencer priorities and travel management practices. Uses consultative selling and leadership accessibility to build strong, “trust based” relationships within the client hierarchy to establish United as a critical strategic business partner. Collaborate with Directors and “C” level executives.
Job Overview & Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates participation in high-visibility activities such as executive joint calls, client forums, advisory boards, industry, and company-sponsored events to communicate our strategic objectives, further enhance relationships and drive customer loyalty.
  • Coordinates client proposals and agreements with sales colleagues, alliance partners, and internal departments to ensure integration and revenue/share maximization
  • Conducts in-depth data analysis, captures market intelligence, and leverages input from multiple stakeholders to create unique contractual and non-contractual client solutions that maximize share, profitability, and customer loyalty. Responds to RFPs, conducts high-quality account reviews, establishes aggressive but reasonable goals and consistently monitors and drives goal achievement.
  • Effectively navigates within the client's organization to build relationships and credibility throughout the management hierarchy and across relevant divisions. Creates and delivers high-quality client-facing presentations and acts as a trusted advisor and key business partner.
NOTE: This position will require approximately 50% travel and provides for a US-based remote work arrangement ideally located in the Houston, Texas area located near our United Hub. The salary for this position is $81,900 to $120,120, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency in key business computer applications (ex. MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word and Salesforce)
  • Extensive Travel Required (~50%)
  • Foundational understanding of airline sales or travel industry sales
  • Passionate, energetic, results orientation
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Travel within assigned territory with periodic travel to other destinations as required for internal and customer meetings
  • Ability to create and deliver client-facing presentations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship
  • 3-5+ years of sales/airline management experience
  • Ability to cultivate business partnerships
  • Communication and analytical ability

  • MBA Degree
  • Experience or knowledge in Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, and Alliances
