Your Impact:
The mission of the G6 Operations Division is to provide staff supervision and management of communications connectivity for NexGen, SPIRIT, and SPIRIT LITE systems, and other configurations that are enabled by GET communications. This requisition seeks to obtain professional support services that support the government in the sustainment of intelligence collection and dissemination assets vital to the security of the United States. The services and capabilities will provide responsive, flexible, adaptive, and timely solutions to satisfy current and future IT requirements. INSCOM provides the Army with a single command to conduct multi-discipline intelligence and security operations. As part of its activities, INSCOM requires support for continued operations and future development of the automated systems necessary to support the INSCOM Black Core (IBC) and Trojan Data networks (TDN).
JOB DESCRIPTION
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working closely with IT and business partners to configure and improve core platform capabilities in accordance with ITIL best practices.
- Understand how ServiceNow can enable the client to become more efficient and configure the platform to achieve measurable benefits;
- Configure and maintain SLA, catalog items and their associated workflows;
- Coordinate application and platform upgrades;
- General support, administration and maintenance of ServiceNow platform and associated applications;
- Assist in building and maintaining internal technical documentation, manuals, policies, and processes;
- Develop systems integrations and process automation;
- Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications;
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- ServiceNow System Admin certification (admin or higher);
- A+ CE, Network+ CE, or Security+ CE
EXPERIENCE
- Experience troubleshooting integration management, security, and application issues;
- Experience in IT service management, ITIL certification preferred;
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex software application related problems;
- Exceptional customer service skills;
- Ability to analyze raw results, determine/resolve bottlenecks, and create meaningful documentation of testing scenarios and results;
- Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications;
- Applies standard methodology, techniques, procedures and criteria;
- A minimum of 5 years of Networking Fundamentals experience supporting Network Operations and Microsoft Active Directory environments
SKILLS
- Has the communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.
PLACE OF PERFORMACE
The primary duty location for this position is at Fort Belvoir, VA
WORK HOURS
Core Hours 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
SECURITY
Must possess at minimum a TS/SCI Clearance. It is preferred that candidate possess a TS/SCI with a CI Poly security clearance. Personnel must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining a final TS/SCI security clearance. Additionally, all personnel will require access to NATO classified material and will require read on to NATO.
- Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions
- Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).
- Work assignments vary based on client requirements.
- Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy and windy climates.
- Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.
- General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
- May require operating motor vehicles.
- It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory.
- Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions
- You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work
- You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war, contingency, or exercise
- Continental and Oversees travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current passport.
- The position for which you are applying for requires a US government security clearance. - Grooming and dress usually business casual, but dependent on client’s standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
- Candidate must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract. Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.
- Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels.
