We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an IT Support Specialist at Alara Imaging, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support for our internal users and systems. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of our IT infrastructure, addressing user issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This position reports directly to the CTO.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the integrity and security of the company's operational IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and managed cloud services.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Collaborate with vendors and external support providers to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
- Set up and manage user accounts and access privileges.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal users, including hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, best practices, and security protocols.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT equipment and software licenses.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide technical support to non-technical users.
- Experience with Active Directory, user management, and access control.
- Proficiency in Mac and Windows operating systems, hardware, and software.
- Experience with virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting (VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in healthtech.
