JOB TITLE: IT Solutions Specialist (Level 2 Support)
REPORTS TO: IT Manager – Infrastructure and Operations
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt
DIVISION: Corporate Resources – Information Technology
GENERAL DESCRIPTION – Summary
The IT Solutions Specialist serves on the Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations Support Team. The IT Solutions Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily internal support of the company’s PC’s, Servers, printers, network, and related equipment at all locations. This position will involve network maintenance, hardware maintenance, application upgrades, operating system support, and Active Directory management.
The IT Solutions Specialist will be responsible for prioritizing, documenting, and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment while consistently demonstrating a high level of commitment and passion for client service through email, phone and in-person hands-on support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Perform individual and/or group employee training to both new hires and exiting employees
- Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes, and making recommendations
- Communicate with vendors for technology service requests
- Managing Microsoft Cloud Technologies
- Travel to local offices as needed
- Carry out special projects as assigned by the manager, administrator, or executive
- Provide afterhours support as needed
- Responsible for maintaining technology inventory
- Provide advanced hardware and software technical support to Infrastructure and Operations support team
- Assist with technology needs for employee onboarding, agency meetings, technology training sessions, office moves, and acquisitions
- Other duties as assigned
- Engage in professional development to maintain and improve professional competence, enhance career progression, and keep abreast of new technologies and regulatory compliances.
- Monitor, triage, resolve any assigned tickets in the help desk system
- Assist with maintaining desktop, laptop, and hardware inventory
- Provide VoIP system support to end-users
- Create, share, and update documentation for internal and external systems
- Provides Level 2 support and handles escalated tickets
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the field of Computer Science
- 5+ years’ equivalent work experience
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900
- Preferred Certifications:
- Network experience (firewalls, switches, routers, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, and cloud infrastructure
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and co-workers
- The ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
- Physical and Virtual server deployment experience
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand you
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- CompTIA Security+
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to troubleshoot a vast array of technical issues as they arise
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as customer-service skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels within an organization

Ability to:
· Perform work on a computer for extended periods of time
· Sit/stand for extended periods of time in work area
· Grasp objects using your fingers (fine motor skills)
· Communicate and speak in a clear, concise and professional manner both in person and on the telephone.
· Travel by air or ground transportation as required in performing job duties.
· Be able to lift and carry objects that weigh a minimum of 40 pounds
