Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor s degree. Two years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferences


Experience in modernizing existing applications using .NET involving full stack development in front-end/UI, mid-tier/server-side, and database.

This position is within the Transportation and Mobility Services Division of the Information Technology Department (ITD) supporting the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) in application development, support and maintenance tasks that include:

  • Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance mobile applications, web applications, APIs, and web services
  • Program with languages, platforms, and technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, Oracle/SQL Server databases; HTML5, JQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON, Objective-C, Angular, Bootstrap, xCode, Eclipse, Microsoft Xamarin, Microsoft SSRS, PowerBi, DevOPS
  • Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for big datasets using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation to include internal software documents and user test plans
  • Analyze and translate business requirements for automation and innovative technical solutions
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software and system problems using a variety of techniques
  • Conduct problem resolution with customers and other Information Technology Department teams

This position entails working after-hours on-call support and system maintenance, as required.
