LivaNova IT Intern: Business Analyst (CQR)

Working in the IT applications team, our interns will get the opportunity to work on enhancements surrounding our Clinical, Quality and Regulatory applications in addition to being part of large-scale software projects. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate analytical and technical skills to meaningfully impact business processes by adding value. You will work with driven individuals who are skilled in business analysis, system configuration, programming, data management and system development skills across various functions.

Our Interns will be exposed to:
  • Requirements gathering for various initiatives through discussions with global quality teams
  • Internal and External Audit processes and associated documentation, reporting and controls
  • Data analysis, queries, ad hoc reporting using a variety of on-site and cloud-based tools
  • Supporting applications in the clinical, quality, and regulatory areas
  • Technical documentation (functional specifications, job aids, work instructions, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Team-player who is flexible and able to work with end-users and production issues simultaneously
  • Some business experience in software/life sciences industry is a plus
  • Working towards degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field
  • Expertise troubleshooting and resolution of production problems and issues as they arise
  • Currently living in Houston, TX area preferred, but not required
  • Previous project experience (industry experience, past internships, research, project teams, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with bug fixing, solution development, documentation of design and technical documents
  • Experience working with Tomcat or any other Web/Application server
  • Experience with RDBMS concepts and SQL Server
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Experience working with Java/J2EE technologies, Python, JavaScript, SQL
