General Motors (GM) is seeking an exceptional individual to join our CCA Supply Chain, Warehousing, and Logistics Information Technology business-facing team. As a Business Analyst Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining relationships with our end users, including the Business Team and Customers, in key business process threads. These threads encompass essential areas such as Demand/Supply Management, Supply Chain Network Design, Material Flow/Logistics, Warehousing/Operations Automation, and Analytics and Reporting.
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Accountable project execution role for Plan through Close as part of the System Development process for projects without a PM or DM (Delivery Manager)
2. Development of business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional) and product backlogs
3. Ensures comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans are developed/executed and the application is successfully transitioned to production
4. Understands business issues and data challenges of the business
5. Responsible for IT strategy & portfolio development for a business area or functional domain
6. Serves as the liaison between the business community and all IT Teams
7. Assist Business with Problem and Incident Management and lead planning to reduce problems/incidents
8. Responsible for project business value/return on investment
9. Identifies business strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement
10. Thorough understanding of the business and in depth knowledge of the overall project portfolio
11. Understands the strategic direction of the organization. Partners with business to set strategic direction of IT applications
12. Leads research on new ideas / initiatives the organization may want to pursue
13. Makes recommendations on what projects should be pursued - "pre-project" go / no-go decisions
14. Provides information around cost / benefit analysis and the feasibility of solutions
15. Impacts the ROI by ensuring the right projects are being invested in at the right time for the right reasons
16. Builds a diverse and effective team by identifying/selecting the best talent. Responsible for directing and prioritizing work, managing performance and providing guidance / coaching to team members. Leads the culture within their team, holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and creates a winning culture.
17. Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE:
1. Expert understanding of business analyst fundamentals in the areas of Supply Chain Warehousing and Logistics
2. Expert understanding of writing & managing Business Requirements Documents
3. Expert understanding of Business Process Modeling
4. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a functional area or business process domain
5. Expert understanding of business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry as a whole
6. Expert understanding of business processes and how application(s) they represent support it
7. Demonstrates critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical capability
8. Leads facilitation sessions with end users, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and capture process flow diagrams
9. Facilitates meetings independently
10. Coaches others on latest tools & processes within the discipline
11. Leads portfolio development activities
12. Strategic agility - in-depth knowledge of why projects are being done

Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA)/Return on Investment on Analysis, Delivery/Advanced Scheduling /Risk Analysis. Ability to lead change management facilitation with key partners; Ability to develop product and process training for the business; Unique combination of both technical and business insight; Broader strategic/program portfolio analysis and big picture understanding; Accountable for bridging business and IT strategic directions for roadmap development
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required (technical discipline preferred) or equivalent experience.
Master's degree preferred (technical discipline preferred). 12+ years in an applicable business environment

HYBRID
Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week.
