Job Description
This is an entry level opportunity with a growing Managed Services Provider located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Field Service Tech will be responsible for onsite delivery and setup of hardware (workstations, server, networking equipment), performing proactive maintenance, maintaining operational documentation, and assisting Network Admins with support request and projects.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Assist with onsite delivery and setup of hardware and installation of software
  • Assist with providing restorative or maintenance actions to resolve end-user issues
  • Assist with onsite troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network related issues
  • Assist with special project work as needed
  • Consistently meet or exceed requirement performance criteria
  • Assist with maintaining and reviewing customer documentation
  • Assist with defining and documenting knowledge base articles
  • Assist with providing proactive maintenance of hardware and Operating Systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:


  • Previous successful customer service experience
  • Ability to telework
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Be able to communicate problems/issues to customers in a non-technical manner
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Ability to complete assigned training materials and courses related to Ntegra IT’s support software and environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects such as office supplies, computers, monitors, and servers with weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be a team player, be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented and able to handle changing priorities
  • Experience with setting up, breaking down and building computers
  • Must have flexibility in scheduling to meet changing call volume levels with the ability to work nights and weekends when required


Required Skills and Abilities:


  • Experience with peripherals: printers, scanners, faxes, mobile devices
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple MacOS, iOS and Android products
  • Demonstrate flexibility and embrace change
  • Basic remote access knowledge: VPN, Terminal Services
  • Basic technical knowledge of networks: WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security
  • Must be process and procedure oriented
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical, technical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills


Education Requirements:


  • Working toward a CompTIA A+ Certification with the ability to attain certification within 180 days of hire
  • Training provided
  • Working toward a CompTIA Network+ Certification with ability to attain certification within 1 year of hire
  • High School diploma required
