Job Description
SUMMARY
The IT Business Analyst Intern position will work within Corporate IT teams responsible for IT Project Intake. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn the process of prioritization of IT projects from business teams as well as gaining exposure to both business and IT organizations. Looking for a process-oriented individual who will have the ability to translate business needs into project requests. This will be a remote position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Applicant must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree Program with a focus on Information Technology or Business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Translate business requirements into features and project backlogs required to define the scope of application development efforts.
  • Perform analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations for best practices.
  • Research and document IT Project Intake methods across multiple IT organizations.
  • Assist with business review and migration of current IT backlog items.
COMPETENCIES (Skills & Abilities)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint
  • Proficient Microsoft Office experience including Excel, Word, OneNote and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Collaborates well in both one-on-one and team settings
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology, a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with process mapping tools
