Position Overview

Position: Intern

Summary:

We are looking for strong candidates for a part-time hourly internship position in our Business Applications Department for the Spring and Summer of this year. Business Applications, part of Corporate Information Technology, supports the corporate applications (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, etc.) and works with other departments to integrate their applications with Corporate Applications. This candidate would be completing at least their Junior year by this summer and have completed some coursework in either Computer Information Systems (as part of the business school / college of business) or Computer Science. Graduate-level candidates are welcome to apply.

This internship seeks to expose the candidate to several aspects of IT, such as HRIS, Financial Systems, Project Management (Scrum/Agile), Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, Application Security, Business Intelligence, Change Management, and software engineering (if the candidate is interested).

Also, at Davey, everyone has an opportunity to improve processes, so we are looking for someone that can further enhance the processes in which they are involved.

Pay is commensurate with experience and academic progress (year of the student).

Job Duties

• Configuration of Cost Centers, Sales Offices and Plants in SAP
• End-user documentation
• SAP security role maintenance
• HR Systems Configuration
• Preparation of Data Files in Excel for Processing
• Quality assurance testing
• Data Gathering and Cleansing

Qualifications

• Professionalism

• Skill in interpersonal communication
• Enthusiastic, energetic and highly driven
• Able to express information through strong verbal, visual, and written communications
• Completion of 3nd college year by Summer 2019
• Experience in Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
• Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

Preferred Attributes

• Knowledge of basic accounting strongly preferred
• Experience/familiarity with software engineering a plus, but not required
