Overview
One of the top Special Situations Funds are looking to hire an Investment Associate. The fund is managed by a highly specialized team, backed by vast resources and robust governance. Their alternative strategy is designed to deliver uncorrelated returns to traditional asset classes. The team have deployed over $2 billion in recent years and have diverse sector coverage, utilizing their network of Senior Investors.
Their Special Situations team continues to experience strong growth and success and is looking to expand their team at the Associate level. They target catalytic growth situations that can deliver strong returns.
Job Responsibilities
- You will draw upon your network and experience to assist with due diligence (including the projection of future financial performance, and analysis of industry trends) and to determine an appropriate valuation for each investment
- Preparation of other ad hoc support materials/presentations to the business
- The position will involve screening and evaluation of Special Situations investment opportunities.
- Support with business development, marketing and control initiatives as may be required from time to time
- You will maintain and/or develop a strong network among a wide range of market counterparts including legal, financial and restructuring advisors, banks and companies
The Requirements
- You must have strong analytical & technical skills, are result-oriented, with attention to detail and quality when delivering results under time pressure
- 2-4 years’ experience in private credit, private equity or M&A from an investment bank or alternative investment fund
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree required from a top tier institution
- You must have proven project management and organizational skills
