Investment Associate - Fig/Insurance

Factorial Funds is seeking an Investment Associate to join our insurance arm. This role will focus on insurance and credit investments, with an emphasis on financial modeling, market entry strategy and sourcing with the (re)insurance space. A successful candidate will play a crucial role in scaling or acquiring new (re)insurance vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market strategy and business plan development for seeding new (re)insurance lines of business.
2. Lead the research, analysis, and due diligence for potential acquisitions, including cost benefit analysis for a build vs buy approach.
3. Extensive market research to stay abreast of trends and developments within the (re)insurance sector.
4. Build and maintain relationships with brokers, advisory firms, insurance managers and other industry players within the (re)insurance space.
5. Deliver presentations and communicate complex financial concepts and strategies effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
6. Participate in the negotiation and structuring of deals, including (re)insurance vehicles, side cars, run off vehicles & more.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in FIG investment banking or the Insurance industry, specifically working with insurance transactions or investments.
3. Strong understanding of the (re)insurance and credit investment landscape.
4. Strong financial modeling skills and experience working with complex financial data.
5. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel and powerpoint.
