Inventory Planning Manager Jobs

The Food and Beverage (F&B) Inventory Planning Manager (IPM) will take a holistic approach to managing Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts’ raw and finished goods inventories. The F&B IPM will oversee, train, and develop location F&B Inventory Control Clerks (ICC) in properly executing the tasks that contribute to lean inventory management. Standardize processes and procedures for inventory planning and ensure Cast members are adequately trained. Lead talent planning for the Cast by providing feedback and developing their skillset. Partner with other IPMs to share best practices and handle any regional concerns (vendor communication, substitutions, etc.) on behalf of the ICCs. Monitor key performance metrics (cost of sales, inventory value, overtime, forecast accuracy, etc.) to drive efficiency in the inventory management process across our F&B locations. This Cast Member will also serve as the point of contact for local owners of the P&L statement.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that local ICCs place all orders accurately and on time while tracking warehouse performance metrics from the F&B locations.
• Lead localized monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings. Effectively communicating at the appropriate level for varied audiences including preparing business presentations and facilitating business meetings.
• Manage receiving schedules from vendors and Walt Disney World’s distribution center (DC3).
• Ensure inbound products are received and stored promptly. In addition, ensure the necessary food safety protocols and checks are completed regularly, such as product rotation.
• Ensure all bills are paid and reconciled by local ICC accurately and promptly and track Received-not-Invoiced (RNI) reporting.
• Standardize and streamline processes and procedures related to inventory ordering and management including documentation. Draw insights from cross-functional teams to enhance and improve processes and performance.
• Lead localized ICCs (14 Cast) to ensure the most accurate inventory information.
• Report on Key Performance Indicators such as cost of sales, inventory value, spoilage, days of supply, overtime, forecast accuracy, inventory positions, and storage capacity monthly. Reviewing inventory variances, days of supply, spoilage/donation reporting, and overtime frequently.
• Coordinate and manage ICC's day-to-day schedule to meet the business's needs accordingly. In addition, conduct Cast rotation within the region.
• Approve and enable products to be procured by local ICCs while communicating changes in product demand to the warehouse procurement team.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain partners on product lifecycles to facilitate new product rollouts and effectively lead end-of-life inventory planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years in inventory management or supply chain roles.
• Experience with SAP, ODBC, Snowflake, and Business Objects is a plus
• Proficient in using Symphony EYC Gold Application or equivalent supply chain software
• Available to commit to work any day of the week during early shifts as early as 2:00 am and shifts including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
• Must have a basic understanding of all Supply Chain processes and the upstream effects of localized decisions.
• Two or more years of forecasting or capacity planning.

Education:

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in supply chain, mathematics, business, or equivalent.
• Required: High school diploma.
