Intake Coordinator

As an Intake Coordinator at CORA, you would be handling all incoming physician prescriptions, scheduling new referrals for appointments with physical therapists, speech language therapists, and/or occupational therapists we have in the network, and preparing patient admissions. Our ideal candidate thrives in high-energy environments, has great customer service skills, and is detailed oriented. This is a full-time position.

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to seek assistance when necessary to make appropriate decisions
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in handling patient concerns
  • Ability to assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming area
  • Prior customer service experience in healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to demonstrates a strong customer focus approach
  • Act as a team player with all co-workers; work well with others to achieve organizational goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with patients and telephone contacts, establish, maintain and develop professional relationships to reach objectives
  • Computer experience with knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing functions
  • Good verbal written and organization skills
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Able to identify the critical details of a task
  • Good verbal and written communication skills


What You’ll Do:

· Answer all incoming calls promptly and politely with the utmost customer service, relaying messages as necessary

· Greet every patient with kindness, respect and courtesy

· Greet referral sources, doctor’s offices, insurance adjusters, nurse case managers, with warmth, respect and appreciation for their business

· Take patient intakes and referrals, and schedule patients within scheduling guidelines

· Maintain multiple clinic schedules

· Instruct patients on the completion of new patient forms, as per the Billing Manual

· Fax/scan/email therapy notes to physicians and others as needed in a timely fashion

· Maintain appearance, function and cleanliness of therapy and office space and equipment

· Maintain patient confidentiality

· Maintain an organized and clean front desk area

· Order front office supplies on an as-needed basis, with approval of the Clinic Manager

· Other duties may be assigned
