Admissions Coordinator
Position Summary: The admissions coordinator is responsible for implementing the strategic direction of recruiting and yielding prospects for University Honors. This includes cultivating prospects, yielding high school seniors, and representing University Honors at UTK admission events. This position also assists the Chief Admissions & Engagement Officer with the Honors Ambassador program. University Honors is housed within the Division of Student Success.
Key Job Functions
- Represents University Honors at Enrollment Management recruiting events (i.e. Big Orange Preview, New Vol Admit Day)
- Supports University Honors initiatives and collaborates with campus partners, specifically Enrollment Management and the Division of Student Success
- Responsible for documenting activities in Slate
- Establishes specific strategies for yielding underrepresented populations
- Executes strategic recruiting plan to yield high-potential students to University Honors
- Organizes and oversees yield events
- Assists with implementation and supervision of the Honors Ambassador program
- Strategically manages time to reach targeted students
- Responsible for submitting accurate and complete travel reimbursements in a timely manner

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 year supervisory experience of either students or staff
- 2 years’ experience in higher education admissions (student ambassador experience will be counted 4:1, i.e. 1 year student experience equals 3 months experience)
Anticipated hiring salary range: Minimum $41,500
Anticipated start date: July 1, 2023
