As the local leader of the Regional Internal Operations Audit Associates and Auditors, the Insurance Operations Audit Manager is actively engaged with all aspects of the audit team, performing all team responsibilities, and monitoring the progress toward departmental goals. The Audit Manager supports the Regional Director and is responsible for tracking and managing expenses, monitoring team performance, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the local team and other tasks as needed by the Regional Director.
Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Conduct Orientations for new Profit Centers, as needed.
  • Participate in company meetings, as necessary.
  • Frequently communicates with teammates and engaged parties regarding project status and timeliness to manage expectations and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Assist Regional Director by leading and / or completing audits as needed and monitoring audits to ensure timely and successful completion.
  • Provides significant input on the regional audit schedule and identifies the teammates responsible for the audits.
  • Conducts performance reviews for all regional insurance operations auditors and associates.
  • Perform Due Diligence for potential acquisitions, if needed.
  • With the approval of the Regional Directors, develops and distributes processes / workflow manuals as needed.
  • Develop and / or enhance technical insurance knowledge. Pursuit of insurance related designations in conjunction with the Regional Director.
  • Review teammate PTO/DTO and expenses. Monitor team travel plans with an eye on expenses.
  • Participates in sourcing, interviewing, and recruiting candidates for the region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the internal operations audit divisions (IO, FO, TR, IT).
  • Manages the day-to-day activities and projects of the Regional Insurance Operations Auditors and Associates with a focus on ensuring 100% utilization of available resources on either audits or other special projects.
  • Evaluate viability of retesting the Profit Center’s action plans. Concerns should be discussed with Profit Center and / or Regional Director.
  • Track progress of regional team in completing all audit activities, including the timely & successful distribution of all Insurance Operations reports. Provide assistance or elevate concerns as needed to ensure timely outcomes.
  • Oversees onboarding of new hires within the region.
  • Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by the Regional Director.
  • Organizes, tracks, and reports any and/all special projects to the Regional Director.
  • Review and approve timecards of the associate level teammates.

Qualifications:
Preferred:
  • 3–4 years’ business or leadership experience
  • College degree
  • Process and workflow development and leadership experience
  • Pursuit of technical educations required and should have or actively seek IIA Certificate, CIC, AAI and/or CPCU designations.
Required:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
  • The ability to adapt to change.
