Insurance Coordinator - Stem Cell Transplant Office

Under the direct supervision of the NurseManager and Administrative Specialist, the AA III Insurance Coordinatorfacilitates all aspects of the insurance approval process for stem cell donorsand stem cell and CAR-T recipients. This includes, but is not limited to,initiation of patient transplant referral, review of benefit verification,coordination of recipient prescreening and documentation of relevantinformation in the transplant database and CareConnect. Salary range: $26.99-$38.66 Hourly

Required: * Previous experience placing referrals, obtaining authorizations for the hematology oncology population required. * Previous experience working with all insurers, including Medicare, MediCal, PPO's, IPA's, HMO's * Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities * Ability to establish and maintain and productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration and patients from various social, cultural and economic backgrounds. * Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment. * Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations. * Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health
