Job Description
The Part-time Instructor, Welding Technology will explain welding technology theory to students in the FTCC program, instruct and demonstrate welding techniques, and critique weld joints and provide feedback to students. Will also include classroom management, grading, and attendance.

The salary range is based on experience and academic credentials.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment.
  • Two years experience or Diploma in Welding Technology, AWS D1.1 Certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, spreadsheets, presentation and collaboration apps and software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or higher. **Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
Essential Duties
  • Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.
  • Make recommendations to Department Chair for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated practice of fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom and among your team, as well as experience working in a diverse environment.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in the areas of subject matter expertise; teaching and learning; the use of educational technology; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and other areas related to the strategic goals of the college.
  • Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the department chairperson and approved by the dean.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc.
  • Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students.
  • Construct, administer, and grade examinations.
  • Facilitate the learning process by designing and implementing inclusive instructional activities that are appropriate and meaningful and that maximize equitable student outcomes.
