Inside Sales Representative Jobs

V-Tork USA is the US-based operation of V-Tork Technology, a leading manufacturer of pneumatic and electric valve actuators. V-Tork USA sells its actuators through Distributors and Valve OEMs in North America.

This is an Inside Sales position that is responsible for providing technical assistance and actuator selection for our customer. The position is located in our V-Tork USA office in the Westchase District in Houston, Texas.

Position Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for overall customer service and will be the key contact for quotations and actuator sizing requests. Each member of our Inside Sales team is responsible for providing quick and accurate technical and commercial support to our Distributors and Valve OEMs. This team member will manage inquiries, orders, technical requests, delivery estimates by phone or email. The Inside Salesperson will also accept and enter orders, provide quotes, research item availability requests, answer pricing questions, enter returns and credits.

Responsibilities:

• Assist other departments in resolving issues related to customer sales and service.
• Understanding of basic actuator functions.
• Ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
• Review customers’ inquiries for application requirements and commercial terms and conditions.
• Provide actuator sizing and selection assistance to Distributors and Valve OEMs.
• Provide order status and pricing information to Distributors and Valve OEMs.
• Understand inventory management system.
• Develop and establish a professional relationship with Distributors and Valve OEMs.
• Prepare orders to be placed on factory and maintain close follow up communications with factory personnel.
• Work closely with Operations Manager and Shop personnel
• Review customer purchase orders for correct pricing, discounts, terms and conditions, part numbers and prepare for order entry.
• Prepare quotations in response to customer inquiries in accordance with controlled prices, discounts, terms and conditions and sales policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• At least 2-5 years’ Inside Sales experience in the industrial valve or valve actuator field
• Must be Action-oriented, Teachable and able to work well within a fast-paced team environment.
• Extensive phone and email communication experience in a Customer Service environment
