Aerothreads is actively seeking an Inside Sales Associate to join our stellar organization of designers and fabricators supporting our customers in the rapidly growing aerospace industry.
Founded in 2014, Aerothreads is an MLI (Multi-Layer Insulation) industry leader, offering consultation, design, fabrication, installation, and critical support services to a variety of clients, for both test and flight aerospace applications. Aerothreads represents the cutting edge of our industry and operates in a state-of-the-art facility based in Maryland.
This position is a primary point of contact for Aerothreads customers and is responsible for completing sales proposals, providing technical support to clients, and generally supports the CEO and company-wide departments. This role supports inside sales functions and is not commissioned based.
:
- Support special projects and trade shows to facilitate company goals and objectives
- Act as the technical support/contact for internal and external clients for guidance, provide information and answer questions regarding contract language, and generally support technical and commercial compliance
- Responsible for initial project set up, handoff, and kick-off
- Work closely with the CEO, Design, and Manufacturing teams regarding sales process and project handover
- Review contractual documents for consistency, compliance, and accuracy, including quotes, vendor forms, master service agreements, terms and conditions, and purchase orders.
- Maintain records for correspondence and contract review status
- Aid in the development of business practices, company policies, and procedures.
- Use internal estimating tools to create project costs and budgets
- Create packaging for final proposals/quotes and communication of new contract awards to the appropriate internal team members
- Analyze customer policies and processes for compliance
- Provide technical advice, communication, and resolve issues via phone and email, escalating issues to management when appropriate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Understanding of and expertise with standard contract language, ability to identify problematic terms and propose alternative language that is favorable to company
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, science, engineering, physics or similar field and relevant experience
- Due to our current U.S. government contracts, U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to work with little supervision
- High level of understanding of standard sales quoting process & contract development
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant position such as contracts administration, project management, or inside sales representation
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, attention to detail, dependable, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel to client sites and trade shows
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint system is a plus
- Space experience preferred
