Information Transport System (Its) Technician

Genesys Impact is seeking a Information Transport System (ITS) Technician to work with our customers and team of stakeholders to support our client's mission, value proposition, and requirements for various projects in Healthcare, Education, Government, and Commercial Real Estate in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area.

The Low voltage will work on-site at various construction sites and follow safety best practices to perform technical work primarily with structured cables, electronic security systems, and video surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow the BICSI and other industry standards to ensure compliance
• Ensure that all safety rules are always followed
• Provide clients with high quality technical work based on approved plans from various stakeholders
• Perform proper installation of low voltage, copper and fiber cabling infrastructures under the supervision of the Lead ITS Technician.
• Adhere to Genesys Impact installation procedures, BICSI standards and various requirements Report to Lead ITS Technician any issues that may affect the outcome of project success

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of low voltage installation practices and procedures is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• This position requires a background check and driver’s license check.
• Hands-on experience with BICSI and other industry standards to ensure compliance
• Hands-on experience with construction drawings is required
• The ability to lift various items is required, as well to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders
