Information Transport System (Its) Foreperson

Genesys Impact is seeking an Information Transport System (ITS) Foreperson to work with our customers and team of stakeholders to support our client's mission, value proposition, and requirements for various projects in Healthcare, Education, Government, and Commercial Real Estate in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia area.

The Low voltage will work on-site at various construction sites and follow safety best practices to perform technical work primarily with structured cables, electronic security systems, and video surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Report project status to supervisors regularly
• Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and contractors
• Ensure that all safety rules are always followed
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunication that may happen on site quickly and amicably
• Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites
• Provide clients with high quality technical work based on approved plans from various stakeholders
• Mentors, manage, and train employees and contractors
• Regularly update documentation based on status of work items
• Be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors
• Interface with other contractors on-site to coordinate work in high activity areas
• Manage tools, material, and material orders
• Produce work schedules for employees/sub-contractors and monitor the attendance

Qualifications

• The ability to lift various items is required, as well to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders
• This position requires a background check and driver’s license check.
• In-depth understanding of low voltage installation practices and procedures is required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• The physical demands of this position are those that are necessary to meet the responsibilities and essential functions of this position
• Hands-on experience with BICSI and other industry standards to ensure compliance
• Hands-on experience with construction drawings is required
