Information Technology Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are an MSP in the Sacramento region. We are looking for qualified and self-disciplined field and remote support technicians to support our Sacramento region clients to work service calls, and help desk portal from home via remote support as well as on-site when needed. Our clients range from Manufacturing, Law firms, Construction to Food processing.

This is for a full-time position but we are op[rn to 1099 independent contractors as well if local

Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform critical related duties such as maintaining Domain controller and active directory management, User setup and configuration, and general server maintenance.
• Will be dispatched to clients' locations for general hardware and software troubleshooting for Windows Desktops, and Windows Server, as well as provide over-the-phone and remote support.
• Assist with maintaining user access rights and logs for all applications and network access including onboarding of new employees and removal of inactive employees.
• Assist with network, email, and security management.
• Provide user-level technical support for end-users related to the core system applications and other pertinent software applications.
• Provide user-level training on daily applications used including client specialized applications and other basic computer-related skills.
• Coordinates with other IT services & resources
• Assist with diagnosing and quickly resolving a wide range of Windows applications and networking problems to help minimize downtime.

Skills that are required:

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Must have a basic understanding of network infrastructures such as cabling, patch panels, and terminations.
• Ability to independently manage tasks
• Experience with all aspects of Azure
• Experience with Firewall such as Meraki, SonicWall, Watchguard, Pfsense
• Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, including administering Users and Groups and Domain Objects via Group Policy, manually, or via PowerShell
• Experience configuring, and deploying VPN configurations
• Experience configuring, deploying, and securing MS Server 2012 and 2016
• Experience with VMWare/vSphere and other hypervisors
• Experience creating and maintaining documentation.
• Familiarity with project management
• Experience with all aspects of Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Share Point
• Strong customer focus and relationship management skills
