Job Description

Legend Technology is actively seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing IT support. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and expertise in Azure, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory. In addition, we prefer a candidate who has scripting/programming experience, specifically in Batch, PowerShell, and VB. This is a Contract-to-Hire position and will be based on-site in San Diego.


Compensation: $40.00/HR / 3 Month Contract to hire opportunity


Job Duties and Requirements:


  • Equipment and software inventory
  • Works within a team environment to support all technical aspects of the company
  • Backup systems
  • Network administration
  • Equipment proposals and purchases
  • Maintenance of required documentation
  • Server/desktop configuration/troubleshooting
  • Support for users' software/hardware needs and provides basic training
  • Supporting all desktop/laptop computers, network equipment, and servers within the company in the following areas:


Required Skills:


  • Routine familiarity with server applications and operating systems (Windows 2008/2003, HyperV, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSE or MCITP)
  • Experience in administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure Active Directory, Windows Defender, etc.
  • Completion of college-level Information Technology classes or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of networking (DHCP, DNS, IP, Switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
  • Direct experience with Active Directory, Group Policies, Intune, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience to include desktop/server, hardware and software installation, desktop support, and troubleshooting


Desired Skills:


  • Demonstration of successful project coordination, tracking, and reporting
  • Scripting/Programming – Batch, PowerShell, VB, etc.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment techniques/software (Windows Deployment Server, SysPrep, etc.)
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
