Job Description

Duties

Serves as an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) - Cloud/VoIP Specialist:

  • Consult with OIT security teams and industry communities on security best practices related with VoIP.
  • Monitor and perform analysis of DMZ VoIP traffic for potential anomalous activity related to security and performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities associated with external-facing services related to VoIP.
  • Design and integrate technical architectural options for voice/collaboration services including automation, potential risks and mitigation strategies for each option.
  • Develop and track VoIP capacity plans, to include quantitative predictive analytics for usage trends, projecting timelines for changes and potential cost impacts.
  • Develop detailed technical architecture options in conjunction with OIT NE team to address future converged cloud services for the SEC user community and interactions with the general public.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement.

SK-13: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SK/GS-12 level: 1) implementing secure VoIP/Collaboration (SCCP, SIPS) technologies, extend transport-layer security, security vulnerabilities and remediation; 2) experience implementing external-facing technologies (e.g., Python scripting, BGPH.323, Secure Streaming, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web relate protocols; and 3) experience performing analysis of cloud VoIP log data and other related sources to identify anomalous activity and troubleshoot performance issues.

How You Will Be Evaluated
