USmax Corporation is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to join our team supporting USAID’s Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI) Learning and Knowledge Management (LKM) Division with the Program Office.

The Information Technology Specialist designs and develops information and knowledge management systems to improve operations and services, to include development and selection of tools, templates, and best practices; development of information distribution/sharing applications; development of tracking systems and databases for services, evaluations and monitoring, and personnel; monitor design and generation of field support activity reports for senior management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the work of the USAID Knowledge Management Working Group and the Agency Knowledge Management Reference Group.
• Provides technical and logistical IT support and consulting to all USAID technical offices and the front office regarding organizing data calls, data analysis, data warehousing, database architecture as well as requirements gathering, design, and implementation of new or enhanced software systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Works with a broad range of USAID-specific applications, commercial off-the-shelf applications, and open-source applications including: UTRAMS (Universal Technical Request and Mission Support System - USAID 's portal for tracking staff travel and remote support), USAID Guide to Technical Services, Staffing Databases, Agency Mechanism Guide, collaborative spaces developed by and for USAID technical staff, and documents bugs and features in planning and version control systems such as Azure DevOps.
• Develops and maintains USAID Intranet.
• Maintains and improves Tableau visualizations and dashboards (including connections with major Agency Systems and SQL views, and Excel/Sheets exports).
• Provides technical support for staff training and implementation of collaborative software to increase individual and group productivity through IT. This may include helping offices and individuals set up work groups and procedures; this may also involve individuals, partners, units, and offices outside USAID, including regional bureaus and field missions.

Required Qualifications:

• Background in data science, data visualization, data collection, database design, migrations, and ETL to/from Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Strong background in data science and software engineering (systems design, Agile methodology, requirements gathering, data collection, validation, processing, and applied analysis).
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Facility Access Clearance (FAC)
